CODEX CALIXTINUS
“In the year 1138 two monks belonging to the order of Cluny, and who happened to be blood brothers were elected by Pope Calixto The Second to write the fifth book in the CODEX CALIXTINUS, the so called “Liber Peregrinations” .
With this goal on mind, they set off to Santiago de Compostela. Their mission was to create a book containing moral advice and serving as well as a guide for the Jacobean pilgrim. It has not been after nine centuries that we have found out about the real story of the clergymen Josugo and Martilón.
Why their true story has not been revealed until now?
Why did not they finish the book they were commissioned to write?
